The other day when the hippy and I were off to Swindon we took the back roads and at a rounderbout a huge big black landrover alike with bars around the lights who had been driving too close behind me for some time didnt stop as quickly as me. He nuged the back of the bike and I got off to see if things were ok and he drove off!!!

He probably didnt even notice he had done it. I remember hearing localy about someoine who carried on driving because they thought they had hit a badger or dog - they were absolutly convinced of it (Personally I would have stopped even if it was ONLY an animal!) and it turned out they had hit a cyclist.

Some hit and run drivers are cold hartless and in some cases killers and some are just stupid. And then I think If I felt a bump I would stop anyway wouldnt you?

Oh theres some numpties on the roads...... and the trend for 4x4 school run vehicles is just stupid!

one of the guys I know who is an instructer was telling me of a leeson he was taking one day (cbt with a couple of ped peeps) going allong a road and basically the left lane is a bus lane and the right lane the normal lane.

now the bus lane goes into the bus station so if your in it you need to get in the right hand lane! he's going along got a trainee in front and one behind, then all of a sudden this 4x4 comes along side and he goes to the trainees

"now I bet this pilloc wanst to pull in so be careful"

and sure enuf he pulls up along side him (in the middle of these two trainee's) and starts to drift in! so he has a scoot in front and one behind and this 4x4 starting to bear down on him

"can both of you see this here, just so I have a witness if I come off"

both trainees nod, and the 4x4 contines to come accross and actually starts to push him - ie he's legs etc are now hitting the 4x4 door!

Now I'm sorry but the 4x4 driver must of know that he was there (its hard to miss a firestorm (yeah great bike for an instructor to own Smile ))

people like that should be strung up! it turns out though that instructors can report such people and because they carry a certain amount of weight as official trainers/examiners the police will actually take notice of them!

Mad Mad Mad Mad fu..ing myopic drivers! (yeah I know a car is my main form of transport but such behaviour isn't acceptable!)
