I think the GT3 would have won that by the way he left the R1 for dust at the first 3rd of the track. Once the R1's 'closed up' it looks as if the GT3's not even trying through the corners. Okay, it's no accurate lap time, but the whole video's well over 9 minutes long - that German girl on Top Gear drove around the track, with traffic in a Jag Diesel in the early 9 minutes.

Nothing against the R1 as a bike, but I think in the right hands it would have been a better comparison.

The German girl had also done about 15,000 laps. Make no mistake, even 9 minutes on the ring is a fast lap time.

lol, I did a lap in 10 min 30 secs in a Clio 182, with 3 other people in the car on my first and only attempt! Got my arse handed to me on a plate by a Dodge Viper!
