Hey Folks,

Since i done some donuts and some mild off roading on the cityfly the chain seems to keep slipping, so...I'm after information on chains and sprockets, like who's the BEST? how many teeth should the sprockets have? errr is a gold plated chain benificial? if they exsist? any links to online shops that sell NEW chains and sprockets?

Much Appreciated Cool

I'm getting an X-ring DiD C&S for £85 Very Happy
X-ring causes less friction apparently, and the DiD ones are guaranteed for 12000 miles!!!

I fitted the DiD onto mine. A quality kit and as good as a genuine Honda too.

I looked at those pics you posted up of it the other day, why dont you just tighten the chain up, there is *loads* of room left on the adjuster so before you go out and spend money on a chain and sproket why not just try tightening it up!!

following out little chat last night just tension the bloody thing. you can buy a new chain every time it stretches out a bit.

well you probly can, but its not good practice.

call mandp. check their website www.mandp.co.uk for their number. busters are good too.

DID chains are the best, but there all good. an O ring chain on that little fly will last for over 10,000 miles if you look after it, and less than a thousand if you treat it like you do now.

Try calling a local bike shop. M&P and the rest were gonna charge me £70-ish just for the x-ring chain, the local place got the entire C&S x-ring set for £85 so it's worth giving them a try
