Hello All,

First post on here so i best get the drinks in...money is behind the bar!!

Anyhow looking for some advice, want to get myself a good bike up to approc £8,000. For the first time being in the position to a buy a bike can i make up my mind on what to buy??? can i f**k! However i am seriously considering a VTR sp1 or 2, anyone out there own one that could give me their opinions of the bike?.

For that matter, any other bike people feel deserves a mention.

I dont have any criteria really, wont be using bike to commute as i live 2 mins away from work now, this will be my Weekend blast...toy!

Even considered going for something more classic like a Triumph Bonnie, or thruxton, but not so sure its my kind of bike really.

One thing i am looking for is character.

Sorry for long winded post.

Cheers
Mick

Hello Mate,

Should have said that i have been riding for years, around about 20 years i suppose and up to a few months back was riding 98 miles a day commuting to work for at least 10 years. Feel confident on bikes, in all weathers, but generally have only owned Bikes that were capable of piling the mileage on with little effort.

I know its a stupid question to be honest, but its doing my head in trying to get my head around what bike to own, sometimes its easier to get other peoples experiences as well, always been a bit partial to twins, but dont let that put you off !!

Enjoy the beer!

Cheers
Mick

You might as well read the first post as read the second saying exactly the same thing... Idea

Hello mate, Stella cheers Thumbs Up

If I was in your position it would be, without a shadow of a doubt a Gixxer 1000 k5.
