You got to be careful out there.

Some car drivers are just idiots and:

1) don't see bikes, 2) bikes are not planted in their heads 3) daydreamers/mobile phoners

Long list, as said never assume, always be careful around cars, bused, taxis and people... hmmm thats everyone then Laughing

Keep safe and take it easy, always ride in a calm manner.

Yep rush hour especially in the evening, all the idiots are out!

Though don't class all drivers as idiots, I drive and ride and am always on the lookout for bikes guess its in my blood though.

It's always the way, their arguement would be that they didn't see because the bikes are too small and quiet. We can change the volume at least, can't we? Twisted Evil

I'm just glad I don't do shedloads of city riding, it's not my favourite at all.

It's ironic, rush hour: the time when it is most advantagous to be a biker (being able to filter) is also the time that it is the most disadvantagous (more idiots on the road)

Expect the unexpected.......and the expected, but you are right you hear of so many stories of cars doing u turns and poor ol' biker suffering as the result. An old boy (in his 70s I think) got killed on his Blade cos a car did a u-turn and I have had it myself... dual carriage, I'm in the rh lane and an old git in the left turns right in front of me so he can go to B&Q. I also drive a car, I know the car"s got a blind spot so I damn well look for it.......
