re-jet or not

i got a gsxr 600 which is dyno jetted and has a remus can on it but will it be ok to stick the original can back on there and use as normal without re-jetting it

Try it and see how it runs mate.

The other way around, it would normally be fine but this way around. Try it and see how it runs is what I say.

Probably better to get it re-jetted as the bike might run richer with the std can.

....However..Is the can road or race? Road cans from Remus don't usually need re-jetting.

thats the problam i dont know if its road legal or not if its legal i leave it. i cant find a e mark or "this is for off road use only" anywere heres a pic what do u think?

ive look at a web site which does dyno-jetting its saying

"Stage 1 - designed for motorcycles fitted with a stock engine, airbox and filter and a stock or aftermarket exhaust can. These kits are fully adjustable to allow the use of good quality aftermarket exhaust systems and a K and N replacement air filter if later required. Stage 1 kits are designed to improve throttle response and driveability and give an average power increase of 5% throughout the rev range"

I was told it can bugger up your engine if you dont re-jet !

Hi

Chances are it will be a touch rich. Might land up with a few flat spots. Probably possible to fiddle around with the needle position, etc, to get it to run smoothly.

My 1200 Bandit is set up to run with the road baffle out but I normally run it with the baffle in. Losses 7hp from the top end (5%) and is a bit flat at low revs (bloody awful when cold), but is perfectly useable.
