Got an email through from M&P, you need to pay postage and packaging but can't be bad to a disc lock for a fiver.

I couldn't see it on site

I am guessing you have to buy something to get the lock though, judging by the wording ?

Oxford....titan....the one's that were opened with pens.

Hmm, I'd rather not thanks. Guess they're trying to shift them now that the story is out of the lime light.

As said above, oxford will replace it for FREE for one that doesnt open with a biro. They made a press statement about that sometime in the past. You just have to phone up their customer service line and they will send another out/collect the faulty one.

Decent lock for a 5iver essentially. Bonus Thumbs Up

It's hardly 'free' either, their costs will probably amount to about £1.

I bought one like that for £5 at the bike show and i reckon they are pretty good. £5 to have one delivered seems pretty good to me

mine has got a little cover to keep the rain out though. otherwise very similar

ok so maybe some people know how to open them with a pen but someone always knows how to get past any lock

its better than nothing

I guess thats whiy they were selling them cheap unbranded at the bikeshow though Wink

not bad for a fiver but wouldn't trust it to be the only security on the bike.

doesn't look very substantial

i have this one on my bike

https://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=526830

it's a fair lump!

i know disc locks are really only a deterant but better than nothing!

i had a Titan disc lock on my scrot some time back. Nice little lock, but the barrel rusted and i broke the end of the key off in the lock, Took 2 seconds with an angle grinder to cut it off!

Sod a biro, get your grinder out! It did have a dimond cutting wheel on at the time though Confused

I've just noticed that the picture of the locks are different.
The one on the email is the round key model that was picked with the biro but on the site it's the new model that uses different keys.

I noticed that too and the Titan on M&P's website also matches what's on Oxford's website.

I think I might get one.
