What do you lot think the best most is in terms of performance/price? And in terms of looks/price (if it's a cosmetic mod)?

DB Screen or undertray for cosmetic maybe singe seat cowel.

Best performance is probably air filter or exhaust.

ALthough you can buy NoS kits off ebay for like £150.

Haha I really wanna know what it feels like to have a bike running on NOS, it must be crazy! I'm planning on getting a db screen, undertail, air filter, rear hugger next week hopefully. PC3 and exhaust follow after a few months .

Difficult one - maybe tyres that you feel confident on. Best to start with the basics when assessing what you want to do with a bike.

Cosmetically? Not sure, it changes with the bikes I own. 400/4 was a new 4-1 original collector box, NC30 was its Art end can (the only thing I changed come to think of it), RVF was the trick/one off/HRC parts, Blade.......I can't think of anything I want to change yet...

Yep, decent tyres. Your bike could have the best carbs, end can, bore kit etc. but if the bits connecting it to the road are shit it means jack.

Brakes? I hear you say? Making braking better means you can go quicker for longer

It depends what bike you're on about. If it's a bandit then a big loud can. (then after that a new rear shock and jack up kit) If it's a sports bike get some sticky tyres and a double bubble screen. If its a cruiser get some petrol and a box of matches

Wow this thread has been really helpfull. I didn't think about half of the things you guys said. By the way has anyone had any problems with the auto chain lube? For some reason I keep picturing it dropping lube on the tire or somewhere dangerous.

Not if you meter the oil properly. I had mine too high and it was making a mess of the swingarm. After lowering it down, the chain is still lubed correctly but no messy swingarm Lasted over 1000 miles before needing top up too.
