Hi every 1 im dave i have n nsr 125 n i really wanna know how to deresrict it it would be much appeicate if n e 1 that new how could get bk to me a.s.a.p thanks

Hi,

The best place to make a post about deresctricting etc.. is in 'The Workshop' section of the forum.

Not many people look here regurlalry.

Post this again in the workshop section and you will get more responce!

The main restriction should be in the downpipe. If it is a recent one, I can imagine the restricter being right at the front of the pipe. On my cousin's RCR, the restricter was a washer with a pipe attatched right at the head of the downpipe. We drilled it out and filed the edge down to smooth.

Remember that your carb will need re-jetting after you've taken the restricter out of the exhaust.

Have you had a look at the way how to De-Restrict your bike on www.nsr125.com ?

Ive have added a couple of pitures with arrows directing you to where the restrictors are!

I suggest you do the Carb first, it was the easiest! ( i never done mine btw but after it got done for me i wish i had, was piss easy, just watching True Blue do it made me more confident on dismantling my bike )

Remove your Air Filter ( two 10mm bolts hold it in place! )
In the picture is where the plate is originated. pull it away!

Now to the B***arding exhaust! ( make sure you have plenty of drill bits )

Take your fairing off at both sidesand there is two bolts holding it in place at one side and another two nearer to the exhaust can! Make sure sombody is underneath it to take the weight of the exhaust!
Undo all bolts and lay exhaust on the ground to rest. Then get to work drilling out the restrictor plate! ( you may need a file to smothing the edges )

After all that is done, Bung it all together and off you pop!

I will update you when my bike has been re-jetted, as i only got mine done on Sunday! and getting my jets done soon!
