I've just bought an rs 125 with a snapped speedo cable and I am wondering how easy it is to fix?

The cable has actually been removed but there is a small piece of wire still in the wheel end.

Bearing in mind I have next to no experiance with bike mechanics, is it worth doing it myself or just paying someone to fit the bloody thing?

Is it a simple case of clip/screw on, or is there more to it than that?

Thanks for any help Thumbs Up

I know nothing about your bike but since you mentioned the wheel I've assumed it a cable connection which is very simple, just screw the new cable on the wheel end feed through and screw on the speedo end.

The end of the cable is square so don't force it; just give it a 'twiddle' until it sits down properly.

Extremely easy to fit, loosen off the old 1, and replace it with the new one. Make sure it is tight any fitted correctly.
