Sorry only got this as a powerpoint file. I was sent it a couple of months ago so sorry if you've seen it.

First slide roughly translates to:

It looks like this if you hit a golf on the side with a honda at 250kmh
(150mph).
The remains of the motorcycle rider were found inside.
The Golf somersaulted and landed about 10 m away.
All two occupants in the Golf were also dead.
The motorcycle rider had a fresh driver's license.

After the corpse parts as well as all trails of blood were removed, it was
exhibited at the motorcycle show in Stockholm.

This really makes you think

Not even enough time to say, "Oh Sh..."

A picture is worth a thousand words.

The Honda rider was traveling at such a "very high speed", his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. Swedish Police estimate a speed of ~250 KM/h (155mph) before the bike hit the slow moving car side-on at an intersection. At that speed, they predicted that the rider's reaction time (once the vehicle came into view) wasn't sufficient enough for him to even apply the brakes. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 10 feet from where the collision took place.

All three involved (two in car and rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Stockholm Motorcycle Fair by the Swedish Police and Road Safety Department. The sign above the display also noted that the rider had only recently obtained his license.

At 250 KM (155 mph) the operator is traveling at 227 feet per second. With normal reaction time to SEE-DECIDE-REACT of 1.6 seconds the above operator would have traveled over 363 feet while making a decision on what actions to take. In this incident the Swedish police indicate that no actions were taken.

It was the same car and bike, only they put the back two together again after having first separated them and removed all the human remains.

Seen that ages ago on here somewhere.

The bike was fine... it all polished out with some Autosol and T-cut.

Car was a write off though.

One has to wonder how it ended up on its side, a foot in the air before impact?

Cant see how it hitting the side on the deck would push it that way...

Also, from morbid curiousity, they are saying they paid some poor bugger to work around a bike/car almalgormation with a toothbrush to get rid of all the blood etc...

Nice.

If you look it has hit the bottom of the car and cut through the chassis, I guess it was then forced up and over by the door etc.

I think its a RVF750?

Yes they can, they will do 130 in the right conditions.

Judging by the single seat unit, magnesium rear wheel and ohlins shock i would say that was the RVF750.

The roads are a dangerous place; every second you spend on them you are in danger...

So it's wise to go fast and spend less time on them

That's an NC30 with an aftermarket rear wheel (Dymag?) not an RVF750. Look at the rear lights and tail unit it's an NC not an RC, and the size of all the bits point to 400 not 750.

Also why would a new rider buy such a rare and specialised bike as an RC30 or RC45.

NC30's will do a realistic 125-130mph.

Not me 'bigging' it up ask anybody with a sports 400 how fast it goes.

https://www.sportbikez.net/showcase/31

230kph = 142mph which is what it is geared for, realistically anything above 135 is dependent upon the size of hill your going down and how strong the tail wind is!

Top speed is all about gearing rather than capacity or power. My mate has a 600cc supermoto that makes as much power as my 400, and that thing doesnt top 100, yet a 26bhp rs125 manages 100...

It's definatly not an RC30.

NC30... perhaps
RC45... more likely.

Given the dymag back wheel, aftermarket shock, race exhaust system minus heat sheild and race replica paint job means the owner had some cash combined with the fact that 400's arnt very popular in europe, i would say there is a good chance it's an RC45.
