Sorry for this post.

Got a free helmet today and its got them D-rings on.

What on earth are you meant to do to secure it, move it under 1st then cross over to the clip???

Sorry about this i've never had one before, even though im sure its easy peasy for most of you.

Right, bit hard to describe but I'll give it a go.

2 rings, No. 1 being the nearest to your chin No. 2 is the one on the outside.

Push the strap though both D rings

loop it back under No.2

Feed back through No.1, towards your chin.

Pull to tighten.

your not the only one,,,
i figured it out by trial and error,
the riding that is,,
i prefer d clips although it hurts like buggery when i get my hair trapped in them,
also you got a free helmet? does it fit you correctly and is it unblemished? if it rocks about after you put it on its the wrong size, try and exchange it,
a badly fitting helmet can end up snapping your neck, should be snug but not too tight

its a bitch to do anything with ya gloves on like :

1. do ya lid up
2. get keys out of your pocket
3. use the pumps at the petrol station
4. get the money out of ya wallet
5. zip up your leathers or what ever you wear

i think someone should invent some easy everything gloves Laughing
but it nad nothing to do with me being a lazy ass sod n not being bothered to take the gloves off Rolling Eyes

Come on this is my 3rd lid, i've not been in to biking for long. My other 2 just have the seat belt style clip, which is easier.

Do they not cover how to fasten your helmet with D-rings & seatbelt clips in your CBT ?

I can't remember my CBT, perhaps they did. But i've had 2 other helmets since my CBT and both of them have been seat belt style ones.

The helmet fits don't worry, I got it at the NEC, some bird with big tits and a leotard, made me get a magazine subscription that came with a free cheapy helmet.
