road tax,insurance

Hi my bikes run out of tax and i need to get a new one,i took my insurance paper down to the post office and they said they need the main part,i cant find it anywhere

will my insurance send a new one out?

Call the insurance company and tell them you havent received anything from them yet and make it sound urgent that without the papers you cannot tax the bike. They usually apologise saying that it must have been lost in the post and will send you the whole set for free. Remember do not hint at all that you had received the papers before otherwise they usually charge. I had done this when i moved house and couldnt find my insurance papers.

just call em and ask for new ones. most companies send em out free. insist you never received em as some companies try to charge, make sure they know you havent received the certificate.

also as i have chaned addy if i get sent out a new certificate from my insurance it will have to have my current addy which is differnt to the opne on my log book as i havent sent that out to be changed yet,would this matter?

No it won't. As long as the insurance is valid for the bike, its not the house thats insured you know
