worryingly I've been wondering if it'd bepossible to stick a big paraglider nto a light bike with a prop stuck on the back... Not much practical use but you could sell to bond style films.
I worry myself sometimes...

Hi everybody, Im at school(cough), i mean work and I wondered why my 2003 nsr only reaches 174 mph? Is it a restrictor in the exhaust or something? Oh well, I'll just have to let the busas crawl past for the time being, until I get my 1900000cc big bore from a navy frigate (with nitrous of course). My friend (who power wheelies past R1s on a C90) says that if I stick my finger up my nose and piss in the tank I can unleash a few more horses, is this true?
Safe walking everyone...

I've got a 1974 garelli tiger 50cc. After reading everyones comments on how their nsr can fly i decided to go the other way and fitted my little bike (already capable of out accelerating a zx12r 0-150)with an authentic, ex-thunderbirds mole drill. After turboing it and fitting nitrous i can bore into england and come out in japan in 2 seconds. After the statutory running in period, Brains is gonna derestrict it for me!!

Hiya all. I was thinking about getting an NSR 125 and turning it into a track bike, because my current track bike, a GSX-R1000, just doesn't turn into corners too well. My old R1 (which I now just use to do the shopping with, well, when I'm not using the 996 SPS) used to be quite good, I mean it wasn't blisteringly fast or anything but I was keeping within a few hundredths of a second of the BSB boys - but the Gixxer just doesn't seem to handle. I was actually thinking of buying of the old NSR500 race engines from HRC (they won't be needing anymore now the GP's are 4 stroke) and fitting that into an NSR 125 frame, I mean I've built my fair share of grand prix bikes over the years, so I should be alright doing it - right? Also does anyone have a Hayabusa and know how to stop the back end squatting down when you come down off a 200Mph wheelie and the front wheel has stopped spinning, that's really getting on my nerves and spoiling my fun on the ride to my consultancy firm every morning. I tell you, living in the canary wharf penthouse ain't easy when you have as many bikes as I do, just to wash the bastards you have to bring them down using the lift. Not that I wash them myself, you understand... I've got Britney Spears contracted for two more years of bikini washes. Well, I have to go, one of my many top model girlfriends is calling me, damn bitches never let a player play!
Oh, just a hypothetical question, does anyone know where a 17 year old can get cheap insurance for a 1982 NSR 125, no NCB, 4 concictions for dangerous driving, parked on the street in Moss Side. Just thought I'd ask, because my, umm, uncle's nephew's brother's friend's girlfriend's mate wanted to know.
Cheers!

yea i probably shouldnt mention this but i'm part time SAS. I bolted a Laser Designator on to my trusty and ever so reliable nsr125 and took out numourous Taliban an AQ fighters not to mention a few tanks while I was out there on a tour of duty.
You can sneak up on anyone with a silencer shoved up the exhaust. Dont tell me you didn't know the SAS use nsr125's for combat missions? Yea that 600bhp and cross country capability is the dogs bollocks!

PostPosted: 02:44 - 23 Jan 2002    Post subject: Space flight! Reply with quote

I was reading the Washington Post this morning and I came across an interesting article involving deep space exploration and a Honda NSR125 engine. This fascinating and highly accurate information just released from NASA explains how the high frequency vibrations given off by the NSRs exhaust can propelle the Space Shuttle at light speed! NASA will now adapt the current Space Shuttle fleet with the smaller but highly technologically advanced engine in a $60 Billion deal with Honda.
Honda officals and engineers are worried however that if current owners of the NSR 125 modify their fairing to a flatter more horizontal wing shape, they may find they are achiving light speed when on their estate road. They are warning riders not to do this as it will not be covered by the Honda gaurantee.
Sounds plausable to me!
For more information visit www.nasa.com/lightspeed/nsr125/

BIKES ARE SHIT Yeah well my Renault5 out accelerates R1's,GSXR1000's,Lambos and Ferraris and all I did to it was race tune it (take out the rear seats, add LOUD stereo, fit way too big wheels which actually worsen handling, and put a "motorsport" sticker in the windscreen). Yeah, its much quicker than my mates turbo busa, it does 0-100 in under a second, and eats NSR's for breakfast at the lights!!!
Sound familiar anyone....

lol goog one,
i was talking to an r5 owner who actually thought his alloys made the car faster because there lighter......
u can amagine his disapointment when i told him alloys are heavier than standard wheels and race teams only use them because there stronger.

slightlager alloys with low profile tyres allow the car to handle better around corners as the tyre will not shift under the load of the car so until you learn about anything but bullshit dont come on the site

Of course, too true. Also coupleOfPintsWithYourMates wheels are just about the best performance enchancment you can get mate, tell you what they don't half make you fly... Makes the car so fast everything goes really blurry, even when you're not moving. Strange that, but I'm sure It's just a side effect. Course the coppers don't like it, they want to stop people using them, they'd rather you drive around on those bloody stupid soberAndInControl things - I tell you mate that's a load of twat.
Anyway, gotta run, court appearance in a few minutes... The cought me doing 842Mph down the M4, don't let the bastards keep you down!

hey how dare you mock the mighty r5, the car that beats a learner legal bike with 1/10th its power.
We all know it can take out r1's and the fact that zxr400 has a higher top speed doesnt take away from the r5's supremacy!
r5's for ever
sorry got to go back behind the bike shed and smoke with my friends.....

Hi
Wheels are quite light, the tyres are the bit that is surprisingly heavy.
Alloy wheels for racing use magnesium alloy. These are VERY light, but for the road not that much use. They corrode very easily and are difficult to finish (the alloy is slightly porous, so if you use the wrong paint then air can escape from the tyre by going through the metal).
All the best

Oh and yes low profile tyres to actually give the car better stability in the road and the fact that the tyre walls are not as big it will give you better traction
if ya dont believe me do a search on the net it has lots of useful information that i think you all might need
