Well it all went perfect, right up untill the moment i went through 2 sets of traffic lights just as they turned amber. The instructer said he was gonna let me off with the first one, but there was no excuse for the second one. Apart from that, everything was perfect. So i'll just get it booked again and go for it. Atleast now i know what to expect Smile

Good to see you're in high spirits.

Traffic lights are bastards, I got 1 minor on my car test, and it was because I braked too hard when a traffic light changed from green to amber.

Just book again, get back out there.

Awe. Bad luck 'Dude' Sad

I failed my test first time, so I know how you're feeling. Gut wrenching, innit?

Traffic lights always present one of those 'Do I, Don't I' situations. I was lucky, most of mine were on red, but I couldn't make my mind up for those which were on green. Do I slow down just in case, or, do I bomb past them with my fingers crossed.

All the very best for your next test. Put in for it straight away and, if you're lucky, you could be doing it again in ten (working) days time Thumbs Up

unlucky mate Neutral

BUT you said EXACTLY! what i said if i failed(i didnt lucky enough) but just before i was going to do the test i said to myself "if i fail then least i know what to expect for next time"

as for the traffic lights you just gotta go with YOUR instinct like if its changing when your approaching you've gotta think now it is safe to stop (like car up your arse) as you all know you've gotta check your mirrors as your coming up

if it goes amber as your pretty much on them @ 30 mph then na dont stop if there changing were you can see them & think YOU can stop in time then yeah stop

the examiner is just looking for YOUR judgement(easier said then done i know) but just try & do whats right & what HE wants

post up the next time anyway cause im sure it will be a pass Thumbs Up Wink

The guys who took me for the lessons told me not to book it through the main office as they are quoting January. He told me to fill in the application and leave it with him incase a cancellation comes up next week.

He was being a total git then as I did the exact same thing i my local town high street on my test, both sets with 100 yards of each other, and he passed me.

But he did tell me to watch what was happening in future, but then, they changed to amber as I crossed the line, so was sod all I could do about it at the time.

No, you can rebook it immediately, but you have to wait (If I remember correctly) 10 days before actually taking it.
