I know this won't interest people with REAL bikes, but there are some of us with kids who this will appeal to.

BTW I have posted a link to this site

Ok sorry if the person who posted doesnt feel I have a right to start something new, but yes I did give it about 5 minutes thought before starting the forum, and no I am not spamming it, I have kept it to this thread and the webpage has only been cited once at the top of this page. All I asked for was a little support, if you dont like the idea then that is fine I just thought better of the biker community than that, albeit one person doesnt speak for the majority.

The 4.2hp minimoto champion the year I got into it was 6'4", just need to be a bit more flexible Smile.

Damien, how can you justify me posting on your site as opposed to somewhere like: https://www.minimotoclub.co.uk/vb which is a very good and comprehensive UK minimoto forum.
What does your forum offer as opposed to other ones that actually have users posting?

I'm not justifying anything, just like this isnt the only bike forum. Dont you think it good for people to have different options and alternatives.

Obviously I'm only hearing negative issues from this community so I don't know what else to say. I tried to start a wee forum, its no big deal, just thought some people would be interested.

Well, it might have something to do with the fact that this is an existing bike forum, and generally the members react badly to other people advertising their (usually useless) forums on here.

I've not looked at yours (so I can't say if its good or bad), and have no intention of doing so. This isn't because I'm negative, but that I'm not really interested in mini motos.

A lot of members of this forum would consider a forum advertised on here as spam. Yours has gotten away without this rating because it is about mini motos and not specifically overlapping with this one.

but, as a rule, forums advertised in their first post or an early post usually constitute spam hence the hostile reaction. Karma

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

If you want people to be interested, you need to give them a reason to become interested. I doubt many people are interested by an empty forum.

We don't (that I'm aware) go around other forums inviting people to join this one.

A lot of people try to start motorcycle forums and try and get people from here to join.
A lot of these are dead within a few months and the users have not benifitted from the knowledge they would have recieved in other places.
If you want to start a site, in my opinion you should have a decent reason for starting a forum - like your site is getting busy and you are coresponding with lots of people, or you offer information about a niche that is so far not catered for.

This forum is a perfect example of what I mean - started off as a two section forum based on nsr125.com specifically for nsr125 riders, it grew into this forum because it got popular, rather than the forum starting with the intention of being a big bike forum.

I bought one of the cheaper ones with the idea of making a tiny exact replica of my bandit with bug eyes and everything, so far so good, however:

1. The engine in its is c**p.
2. It eats pullstarts like the cookie monster eats cookies.
3. You do get bored of it after a while.

You'd have been better off painting yourself red, smacking a bull in the face with tennis racket then (if he hasn't killed you already) jabbing at his nuts with a pencil, than posting a thread like that on here.

You've proper signed yourself up mate. Trust. Let it go.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 20 years, 26 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
