|
Run by the Salvation Army. We may well be going to this.
The Salvation Army Toy Run
• Join the Toy Run on 12th November.
• Bring new toys or money on the day to help our work at Christmas and throughout the year.
• Use the sponsor form provided and ask friends, family and colleagues to help us.
• You can drop off toys and money before the event at The Salvation Army, 80 Eccles New Road Salford.
The Toy Run
• The Toy Run will start at 10.45am (approximately) from our Wilmott Street Mens Hostel.
• Arrival and registration will be at 9.30am - 10.30am for a complimentary breakfast.
• The route will be arranged in advance and once again will give us a great opportunity for publicity.
• The Toy Run concludes at The Trafford Centre with a presentation in the Orient food court area. This will include a short carol concert with a Salvation Army band where. The cash amount raised to date will be announced from the stage.
• At Christmas and throughout the year The Salvation Army helps needy children and families in the North West , giving toys, food and other items. These families are recommended by Social Services, local clergy or they are known to us in the local communities.
• Each year we:-
Visit many families who have little to celebrate at Christmas.
See the joy a simple toy can bring to a childs face at Christmas.
