 |
|
Only had my GSX-R600 for a couple of weeks and tonight is the first time I've tried to go out in the dark, The headlights don't seem to be working. Maybe I'm missing something really simple. The small pilot light works ok and the 'pass' switch illuminates both headlights no problem so the headlights themselves work ok but the normal riding headlights don't seem to want to work. Could it be as simple as a fuse. Typical can't find a torch as usual to check.
Any ideas would be appreciated. ____________________ GSXR600K4 Blue - fastest colour. No mods as yet. Happy with standard bike.

On switch pushed over as far as it will go. Rear lights work fine. Also the headlamp flasher works OK it's just the lights for 'normal' night time riding. ____________________ GSXR600K4 Blue - fastest colour. No mods as yet. Happy with standard bike.

side/dip/main
The flasher only works on the main beam, not the dip. Have you taken one of the bulbs out to check the filament?
I've seen a bike before where both 'dip' lights were blown but the main was ok.

Thanks once again for all your info. Neither main or dip beam work on the normal lighting switch. Will check all connectors, bulbs and switches this weekend and let you know. ____________________ GSXR600K4 Blue - fastest colour. No mods as yet. Happy with standard bike.

Lights are working now. A quick squirt of WD40 on the switch and a bit of jiggling and on they came. Happiness. ____________________ GSXR600K4 Blue - fastest colour. No mods as yet. Happy with standard bike.
