I was at work last night, when someone tryed or i think someone tryed to steal my 50 cc scooter.
The handlebars are bent, but i can still drive it.
Does anyone know how i get them back in shape?
Thank you

Hi Triga,

I'd just buy some new ones personally, a bodge job is going to affect your handling.

Well, its not that the handlebars are bent? Its like there not inline with the front wheel?
I heard you can straighten them? or something like that.
Thx for the reply.

Hi

Depends how they are set up inside the plastics. With conventional bikes you tend to just slacken off the bolts on the top yoke then bounce up and down hard on the front suspension, then tighten them up, but this will not work on most scooters.

All the best

Do you mean they have just tried breaking the steering lock, making the handle bars turn.
You should be able to put both feet either side of the front wheel and using force bend the bars back straight.
If they are physically bent, you’ll have a problem.

its just like bicycle bars its the handlebars are on the forks stem & you turn it back straight you might b able to do it without taken of the clock panel, etc but best to take it off & loosen the bolt straighten it then retighten theres also a gap/line on the bars & stem which you line up with each other so you KNOW its straight
