using silkolene semi-synthetic chain lube before each ride of 80miles+ lube chain approx 1 hr before ride.

on the tin it reckons it non-fling but spent an hour cleaning the inside of the belly pan, swing arm and rear wheel on the gixxer as its covered in oily shite.

which is best non-fling chain lube?

Theres one HG sell, I THINK it's called Profi-lube. Can't be sure, only bought it ocne when I had the money, but it was great - No white residue and no fling on my er5. Shocked Thumbs Up

It was a tenner per bloody can though! Laughing

Still trying to find some gold chain wax/lube. Can't find any but have seen it being used.

If you have an o or x-ring chain lube it AFTER you have ridden as the luce is then sucked into the chain links as the chain cools.

I still have a few cans of Putoline O ring lube which is discontinued but great stuff.

I used the wax stuff as it did a good job of protecting the chain, but my bike shop ran out of it so I got Putoline Lube and a can of the cleaner and I gave it a good clean yesterday and then sprayed the lube on... seems to be okay, but I prefer the look of it with the white wax on.. plus it gives a visible idea as to when you need to re-do it.

Cheap at £6ish per large aerosol bottle which last about 6 months. Comes out blue too!

I like it, I apply after a ride as it takes a few hours to settle. I get very little fling, infact nothing worth bothering with.

Smells very strong.

Thats the one.

Sickpup - Pofi Dry lube seems to be the modern day equivelant of the plutoline oring lube, as I have half a can of that stuff from buying my new bike and it's jsut as good. Smile
