This site is awesome, well written and brilliant photos. Some of the photos really make you think about what happened.

https://www.kiddofspeed.com/default.htm

She rode through Chernobyl on her ZZR-1100. Really interesting, kind of thing I would like to do oneday maybe.

Not all strictly what you would call 'true' though.

For one thing she went in a car with several friends.

They're not that rough round here. Occasionally you get surrounded by gangs of screaming abusive 15yo's - get the punch in to the loudest lad's head and they all shut up and seem to melt away, apart from one or two that hang round on your arms saying "that's well cool mate!"

Same goes for the loudmouths, say 20-25 - Get the first one in and make it a good'un Cool . There's been a couple round here that were mouthy as hell and taught some real pain flavoured lessons in humility Razz (not by me - this isn't a BCF boast about your fighting prowess thread). Other ones, ooo even I, hard b*stard that I am ( Laughing ) steer clear of them Cool .

Russia is still useing reactors (about 15 i think) of the same type right now..

North of the disaster area where the worst of the contaiminated material ended up thyroid cancer is commonplace and only a small percentage (30% or so) of babys are born healthy, the rest with heart defects and worse..

Interstingly the hastyly constructed cover to the reactor is failing, next "chernobyl" accident will be the very same..

It's not true,

Heard about this site from within an Urbex circle... Someone knows the tour guide and said they came in a car and pretty much moved everything to make the pictures 'more emotional'.

Plus the 'pass' she says she has doesn't exist.

Fascinating read though Smile
