Right here's the problem:

My Dad lent his mate some leathers to do a trackday in, but as his mate is a total c*nt (and I do mean that in the most offensive way possible), he finished and put them on the back of a van, ready for the skip.

My Dad said I could use them on my next bike, because chances are I'll probably need them on a (Robby look away now) sports 400. (Ok you can look again). So I gladly accepted, free race leathers is not something I'm offered everyday right? They fit like a glove, but there's only one problem.

The colour. There is a section that my Dad's mate has sort of painted blue, but not very well, so it looks crap. I mean who would paint £1200 worth of leathers that weren't even theirs? Cock. Anyway, there is also another problem.

They have pink on them. Some of my mates wear pink but I am firmly against it. I see no reason why males should wear it even if it is the done thing nowadays. Anyway that's not the point. I wouldn't mind but, I don't want other male riders to see me and wink at me. It happened to my mate and I don't want a repeat Smile

Also the parts that have been painted look sh*t so my question, is how much would it cost to get the leathers painted, or is there a way I could do it myself and how much would that cost? Or should I embrace my feminine side and be winked at (and laughed at) instead of nodded at?

Pictures are available....

Leave them how they are. They look well used which would get more respect from me than a shiny new set that obviously only go out on three sunny weekends a year.

agree, as i tend to look at people with older/scuffed leathers with more respect than someone with bran spanking tidy leathers
though not sure about the pink though! Laughing

Get some textiles you cheapskate.

It's winter after all Exclamation

Keep those if you want, I think they look a bit 'treggish' but hey, look more used than the ones I see on here so you'd get more respect from me for looking as if you' do use your bike. Wink

Lots of them round here, just like my boss, restored his S reg blade after leaving it in his garage for 3 years, only to, you've guessed it been out twice this year.

Ohh sh*t a cloud, best not go out, brigade

rather than tarting them up with bright colours like klause, id use some leather dye or black shoe polish to tone the colours down to a nice neutral black

I will get some dye from town when I do my theory, might as well ey. Might just make them black, do you think black would totally cover the pink?

You can’t really complain and Free is Free after all.

If you really can’t stomach the look just where a Hi Vis bib and no one will look twice at your leathers.

Black boot polish.

But if you decide to ride a sports 400 you deserve pink leathers.
