GSXR750WS Hydrauliced faulty tap?

Hi guys my bike hydrauliced the other day after I filled the tank up on the forecourt. Got it home and it continued to empty the tank all over the patio. So I removed the tap and checked it over and can find nothing wrong with it. The diaphram was my suspect but thats fine no tears etc. The spring seems ok too. So I refitted it and put another gallon in the tank and it hydrauliced again still emptying the tank. What else can be wrong with the tap?

Assuming nobody has taken it to pieces in the past and set it up so that it only works as prime, not much. If the diaphragm goes it will stick closed. Beyond that I would be clutching at straws and saying something sticking in the tap stopping the piston moving or the vacuum pipe being kinked and maintaining a vacuum to the tap once the engine is turned off (highly unlikely).

I'd go for a sticky slide in the fuel tap. A vacuum tap has a diaphragm linked to a small slide that allows the fuel to flow, I'm guessing that yours is sticking open and allowing fuel to flow continuously.

Strip down the fuel tap and see if it is stuck.
