From what i heard, the police bikers are acctually really friendly people. Having not been on the road yet, ive never had one, closest ive been was when a policewoman on a pushbike went past the park where i had just started my offroad (and highly illegal) bike...she never batted an eyelid, kept going...I didnt realise she was a police woman at first till i turned around and saw "Police" written on the back of her flourescant jacket....I thought she was just a safety nazi

always get a nod from police bikers, mainly as i usually wave go a nod of a police biker doing a speed trap the other day, i was not speeding of course! though recently i have had a few moment with the local chopper coppers they have done a few low passes whilst going for a blast i did leave me wondering if they flew low infront of me for my benefit...........................nothing has ever come of it..

Nice guy in a neighbouring village who's a police biker, despite only being on a moped at the time he always nodded.

It's easier to familiarise with police bikers, as they have a common interest.

Got three srpogs, including Cog Head, and they all love a blast on the bike, any excuse will do for me.
The other week there were two bike cops doing checks in my locality, every time i took a sprog out i saw the coppers in a different place and every time i nodded the nodded back, on the third time i'm sure they were shaking their heads in disbelief, but they both had a smile on their faces.
Hopefully got some brownie points, each time they saw me i was being sensible, rare thing that!

My new neighbour three houses down the street is a bike copper who rides a VFR and always goes out with his white lid and hivis gear.

Spoken to him quite a bit, he loves the race can and fancies going for a ride out.

2 bike cops also let me away with 130 plus on a restricted license.

I always nod.

I've had several nods from various bike coppers. The majority of them are quite friendly.

Yep, once as a learner, once on my ER.

There are 2 types of bike cop, the normal road ones and then there are a few on these trial bikes, ie ideal for nipping round estates and on to moores etc.

Also managed an evil stare off one as I gave him an evil stare for booking another biker and his like 10 year old kid for speeding.

To become a bike cop you have to be a fanatical biker and only the good ones make the grade.
I was forced to make an emergency stop last week when a car did a red light, didn't realise the headlight behind me was a bike cop, as he flew past me in hot persuit i was grinning from ear to ear, he also jestured to say are you ok when i went past him as he bollocked the car driver. Glad i was behaving!
Also i was dead jelouse today when i saw three bikes giving an escort down Park Lane W1, at full rip!

Yes, quite a bit. Police bikers are often to be found chucking them selves round the countryside on their own bike through the summer when not on duty. They are bikers like the rest of us.

i was once nailing my 125 down a 50 limit lane at around 70 when i saw a few bike cops on the side of the road having a cuppa. The bike was screaming, it was obvious i was speeding, they just raised they're cups and i gave em a nod!

i personally have had about 3 nods from bike cops, iv only ever seen about 5-6 when im riding but most of them seem to be alright, its just the ignerent bobbys that r mardy gits

no i have never had a nod from a coper, but i dont clas them as real bikers, i know there some of the most skiled riders around but still! however i have herd the ok with other bikers!

I've always had nods back from bike coppers in London, even when they're dealing with other bikers. However, sometimes, i get that "What the fuck" kinda look back, purely because my bike's pretty loud, i wear a black visor, and i'm nodding at them when i should be watching the road?

Saw one on the hard shoulder on patrol on the M1, gave a nod to him, acknowledged. Seemed pretty bored so musta been relieved that a fella was so attentive to notice he was actually there.

i have 3 friends who are coppers, all with sports bikes, race cans, dark visors the lot. lovely lovely blokes.

met a bike copper on the ferry a few weeks ago, lovely guy, gave me datails of bike safe when i asked and complimented my bike and my riding as he had followed me from a distance through busy pompey, which i hadn't realised

Last week there was a big crash on the M181 near my house. So I walked to Tesco (at the end of the M181) with my daughter to do some shopping instead of getting stuck in traffic.
My daughter as got a thing about waving at all bikes, but I told her not to because he was busy, with flashing lights and all.
But he was decent and slowed down and waved back at my daughter.

Then on a ride out there was a couple of coppers with our group, we knew they was coppers (high vis jackets, little aerials etc), we followed them upto 120mph on A roads, they pulled over and let us go by!

Bike cops are by far the best cops!

However I have never had a nod.

Usually get a nod from the majority around here. There's a police station down the road from where I work, so I pass by it a couple of times a day. I see quite a few on the country roads around the area too on things like Blackbirds and SP1's.
