Ive had a 125 for about 4 months and was wondering is it worth doing this restricted test or wait till i am 21 and do the big test.

depends on how long you have to wait.

max i could get out of my yamaha sr 125 was 75, whereas, i've done 110 on my restricted gpz 500s. it's not just about the speed though, the power as well makes a huge difference - i feel a lot safer now than when i was on the 125.

definitely worth it if you've got a while to wait

If you take (and pass) the A2 (restricted) test at such an age, it doesn't stop you having a bigger bike. You'll just have to get it (ahem) restricted, that's all. Then, after 2 years you're free to ride ANY bike you want. And you won't have to pay for training days and the test again Thumbs Up
