You're right, it's very irritating.

I can't understand why anyone would want blue valve caps. Laughing

Next time try repainting the bike to match the valve caps, that way they'll just be standard black ones and less likely to look like an easily removed accessory. Wink

Plus doing it this way your tyres will match too. Laughing

Won't take long to get dirty at this time of year, but you will have to resist participating in that C******* thing. Wink

Kids probably did it coz they'd look cool on their BMX's. It's hardley crime of the century is it. I'm sure you've even done it yourself at some point in your life.

You don't need blue caps sweetheart. You're just lovely as you are.
And if you want to get 'dirty' then you came to the right place. Laughing

oem arn't great, Mr C that said they don't use them when drag racing.

Mr C wrote:
we have had problems with the plastic dustcaps causing rapid deflations at VERY high speeds

at over 180mph the centripetal force on the inside of the valve is enough to open it wide - just liek sticking an object in

the pressure in the tyre is then enough to either pop the cap off or split it in two

now when top speed racing most of us will only use the little steel ones with the rubber o ring inside as they stay on, don't split and don't let the air out
