going round a roundabout, saw a car about to pull out, broke and slipped on ice.

fuckin hurt but no real damage. cracked front fairing and indicator lense (replaced for £6) scraped handlebars etc and pretty sure seriously depreciated the value

Were you really close to the car when it pulled out? And did you get it's details/reg plate? If you have legal protection on your insurance ask your insurance company to put you through to their legal department. It's possible to still blame the car as technically it's still their fault whether you hit them or not. You absolutely sure your front wheel slipped on ice.... A motorcycle cannot brake on a tight bend without the front wheel slipping out from under it. Trying to prove this yourself is impossible, but any legal firm specialising in motorcycles can easily prove it, even if it means demonstrating with a push bike in court Wink

Hint... if there was ice... forget to mention it.

Ack, glad to hear you're alright.

I had that happen the other day - he came right into my lane... I was pushed right up against the curb and had to go around the round-about TWICE cause the next guy did the same too Mad
