Okay so teh doom mov-aay is out on the second of December.
To plan a good night out, I reckon (and have spoken to a couple of other local BCFers) that the third, the saturday, is a good night to go out in a big BCF group and see the mov-aay.

The venue we had in mind is UGC Cinema in Sheffield near Meadowhall.

There's plenty of pubs about too - if we get an early showing we can go in a pissup afterwards Cool

IMO i would find a better film to go and watch m8, Doom is not all it seems to be and is a bit of a letdown tbh.

l watched doom a few weeks ago and its not that good, its a lot like the resident evil films.

I understand that Doom bears very little relation to the game, but rather than sitting and complaining, I'm going to enjoy the film for what it supposedly is - a big scary shooty shouty noisy explody type film Very Happy

Me and phanny have been discussing it.
The ideas that have been banded around so far come up with some kind of timetable:

1. Watch movie bout 6ish
2. Catch tram to meadowhall and bus from meadowhall to ecclesfield
3. Get pissed up in ecclesfield
4. Get pissed up in high green
5. Come back to mind and get pissed up some more and play doom 3

It deviates from the plot of the games a fair bit, but as far as action films go, it is a pretty good action movie.
The first person scenes are fantastic Cool
