its an english bike, 1999 cbr600fx, 20k miles.
got it for £2250, needed a new fan,(£6.50) new nose fairing(£25) and it needed a new battery which i got for free. needed some wiring redone, (whoever had it before me had no idea how to join 2 wires, twisting them together and covering in insulating tape is not the way to do it!)lol

so as she stands now, ready to go, less than £2300.

keep it standard, the last thing you want to do a young lad on a big bike like that is draw attention too yourself.

Both stainless and carbon looked good on my bike, I'd just go for whatever comes along as a bargain.

Not keen on the black, as I have the same system on my Blade, which I have now swapped for the Scorpion (mirror shiny) stainless end can for the time being (full system soon). I think the carbon would just mimic this (from a distance), plus the carbon won't match any other areas on the bike (unless, like for me and my previous RVF, the carbon can was the start of a multitude of c/f detailing).

I'd scour Ebay for a good deal, personally I'd go for a stainless - but not standard - they weigh a ton, don't look too pretty and are too quiet.
