but i want the zx6r restricted to 33hp how fast will this be and how much will the insurance be

Don't get a 2005, it will be a big waste of money, as chances are you'll drop it.

You will get no advice, if you choose to write in 'l33t spk'

You have to be restricted to 33BHP legally, so you won't blow 125s off completely, and de-restricted 400s will blow you away.

i suppose insurance depends alot on where you live when it comes to insurance too. i'm lucky living on an island its cheaper

as i've never been restricted , i don't know how that feels at all.

there was a lad round here who passed his restricted test when i did my DAS.

his nan was gullable enough to buy him a brand new R6 , restricted. Rode around like a complete idiot trying to keep up with stuff thinking he looked cool.

He binned it shortly after he got it

i have a mate with a zx6r and is 17, but thats a 1997 (cost £2000 with 10k miles or so) and not restricted. He had a 250cc before he got that so was prepared alot more than it sounds you are. He slid his down the road in the wet a week after he got it, luckily he was wearing full leathers and its only cosmetic damage to his bike!

It wouldnt be a totaly wrong thing to do if you feel confident you can ride and control and insure a 600. Another on of my mates jumped from a tzr50 to his 99 R6, both of them are paying over £1000 for third party only insurance tho!!

I had one when i was 17 so did ste. I paid £1,300 TPO for 2002 registered bike. Quite expensive but def worth it.

Take the restrictors out and its a pretty cool bike.

I am 20, been working hard to buy/insure/run my bikes and am looking into a ZX6R Now.

Just sold my last bike but I cant even afford a 2001/2 model let alone a 2005.

Either your bullshitting or you got it too easy.
