my 50cc scooter has problems! i have changed the combined voltage regular and ballast resistor on the ped because the front lights would fade and brighten with out warning when driving the ped at a steady revs. i have put in a second hand unit, but now the lights work fine for 5 minutes then go out, the dash lights go out, and I have to restart the ped for the lights to work again.
The bike does not have a separate ballast resistor, like many nitros and other scooters.
I wonder if the second hand part is no better than the old one, or am I describing another problem?
Anyone got any ideas?
The ped is a 50cc mbk nitro with a water cooled engine, if that helps.
Please help, as i have no idea what to look for!!!
