Thanks but they are neither AA or Police spec which are different.

The main thing I need to know is how the front lighting system is set up on the AA bike as a customer has asked if I can replicate it on a recovery bike but I need to see it first.

What are you trying to do? Kit up a bike for breakdown use?

Basically the same as the above, but with amber beacons. I was going through the local recovery operators that use them use roadside use, but none have got any good photos on their websites.

Believe to be ST1100-P specification (-P = police). Extra/different switchgear on bars, light bars fitted to mirrors (note the holes inthe mirror wind deflectors where they were) and extra fog lights. Also communications system in left hand fairing pocket, with associated switched on left fairing. Oh, and the top box may be fitted the wrong way round on these (but it's meant to be like that).

Map and Minky you're both stars.

Basically a business associatte asked if I could build a recovery bike for their hire company on the cheap and I agreed to do a quote.

I don't expect it to go anywhere as with buying the bike and equipment they are looking at £4000+ easily and thats with an old high mileage Pan. If they want something with less than 50k on the clocks £5000+

Already had a chat with Witham-SV over bikes. I think its a pipedream as well. They would be better off with a Van at the same price.

To be honest, you're always going to be very restricted in what you can do if you're using a bike. It's just down to space and weight.

I know the firms round here carry a basic toolkit, a battery boost pack, and a few odds and sods.

If they're going to be using it for roadside work, I'd be more inclined to go for the van option.

And on the other side, you can always tow a car from a dangerous location, such as a bend. With a bike, you're never going to have that option.

They'd have to be very particular in what they sent it out to.

A bike hire company.

The idea was to be able to do puncture repairs and jump starts in central london. Also would provide advertising.
