apparently they dont know the top speed because they ran out of track Shocked

worlds Fastest Bikes...wont that be zx12r and busa....not 1000cc bikes they only do about 180mph.... Confused

But they're riding them round the IoM TT course, so they probably are the fastest.

It wasn't the best. Got some racers, showed five minutes of them pratting around and them saying "Well, they're all good really" about the bikes.

What i didn't like, was when the chap said this bike only had 20 miles when I got it.

The next thing he was doing 170.

What about running in your bike, no more than 5000 revs, first so many miles etc?

It would be some fool like me, that ended up with that bike, gits!!!!!

OH FFS!!!

I spend most evenings flicking through channels to find something worth watching.
Then the one evening I let the GF rent out the film 'Mr and Mrs Smith' I miss 'the World's Fastest Bikes' AAAAAGGGGGHHHH!!

I'm sure it will be repeated many more times though I'll just keep an eye out.

BTW - Mr and Mr's Smith is a heap of shite.

is it worth getting professional riders to rate these bikes as most of what concerns them has nothing to do with an average rider?

3 monotone northerners (i'm northern too) and a slightly over cocky bald geezer?

get one pro in and then let joe bloggs scrap it out.

that zx-10r just gave me the shits.

But then what level of 'noob' do you let rate the bikes?

Note that one of the riders was not a pro bike rider, he was a pro rally driver who admitted he didn't have that much experience on bikes.

You have to remember that a relatively new comer to biking my experience the bikes quite differently to 5 months down the line of owning said bike when they've got used to it.


Program didn't seem amazingly well put together, but at least they did have people that knew how to ride - can remember seeing an episode of used bike heaven or similar where they 'reviewed' a supermoto - yet didn't get it past five degrees of lean.

re: the running in process.

When you get bikes in the factory they're tested before they leave. And they'll redline them etc. Personally I don't think running in is the be all and end all.

There's an argument for ragging from the word go, it should slightly increase power from what I've read.

I had a mate do a trackday at Donington on a two week old GSX-R750.

And he highsided it into Foggy Esses and bent the frame! Doh!

I met a couple of blokes at Stockley on Sunday, one of them had a brand spanking new 04 R6 demo bike out for a weekend test. I commented on the state of the tyres, for such a new bike.

He'd done a trackday at Rockingham on it the day before. Cool
