 |
|
Yesterday:
I changed the battery on my ZZR400 (same as 600 in all but capacity) and accidentally connected the positive terminal to the frame a couple of times, resulting in major sparks! lol
It would start on the button afterwards, and I managed to bump start it on the third attempt, but it ran awfully and kept cutting out for about 10 mins, ran smoothly after that.
Today:
It wouldn't even bump start this morning, and I got two massive backfires in the process! I tried the old battery again to see if it was just the battery I ruined, but no luck.
Now when I turn the ignition on everything lights up for a couple of seconds then goes blank.
I've really got no idea whats going on with it and would appreciate any suggestions, otherwise I'm gonna have to go over all the electrics and clean and re-insulate everything
Thanks |

I know it doesnt have an EFI ECU but Im sure it will still have electrical circuitery of various kinds, to control ignition and safety features such as preventing startup when the sidestand is down etc? ____________________ Yamaha SZR660 Caution to the wind, the throttle pinned! |
