Despite what anyone says a single line plate is a big no no, you WILL get pulled and it will only be a matter of time. Single line plates tend to be taking the piss so much I think you'd have a hard job getting off it.
I have a 6x4 on my Gixxer which is about pushing the limit of what you can get away with. They should be 9x7 but a 7x5 is a safe bet.

You were lucky then Mick - I know several traffic cops and they say that the general feeling is that if they stop someone with a slightly smaller plate they usually judge the persons attitude on whether or not they will do them or just give them a talking to.
They also reckon that a one liner is just taking the piss so they dont even bother talking about it, just give them a fine and be done with it.
I dont reckon a one liner is worth the risk. You were obviously lucky........or too fookin fast!  |
