calling all people who know their GSXRs

fairly pointless topic, but i'm curious to know what year the GSXRs became fuel injected, i've got a niggling feeling it's the K1s upwards but can anyone confirm this?

I think the 2000 SRAD was FI.

Carbs stopped in the SRAD models, the new shape was FI.

Think it probably was the K1.

so it was definitley the K1 GSXR 600s that started using fuel injection?

No there are a few SRADs which have FI. Check out the SRAD topic a few pages down.

OK here goes:

The GSXR600k1 was introduced in november 2000 and is fuel injection.
All the previous GSXR600s were carbed models and are known as SRADS

The GSXR1000k1 was introduced in november 2000 and is fuel injection.

Now the GSXR750k1 was introduced in january 2001, but some of the previous models which are also known as SRADS had fuel injection like the GSXR750X.
But also the GSXR750Y which was introduced in march 2000 had
the same body shape as the GSXR750k1 which was introduced in january 2001.

So the answer is no, the K seris did not start the fuel injection because it was already in use by the earlier SRAD GSXR750s
