The funny thing is, I remember seeing a model version of this exact bike (on of the 1/12 scale thingies) marketed as a Rossi Rep! Rolling Eyes

I think its because rossi raced in Kenny Roberts colours for that anniversary race in america.

Hi chaps, just got back from work, didnt realise that this thread would get so much interest......

It is based on the Rossi bike at this years MotoGP at Laguna Seca.... which was based on the Kenny Roberts snr bike from the 80's

Anyone here old enough to have seen Roberts in the transatlantic Trophy races at Mallory Park - dueling with Sheene & Mick Grant??

acidburnz is right.. post some decent pics up.. from your picture it looks like a kenny roberts rep not a rossi rep of the kenny rep like it is... it's a very nice paint job either way but some more pics would be cool Thumbs Up

That has to be the greatest yamaha paint job of all time (ah the old RD,s Cool

), before l got my YZF1000R l was biding on a FZR600 with that same paint job on eBay unfortunly l did,nt win it. :
