Hey everyone. Im new to the Forum. I have a 2001 NSR125 in black and silver, fully de-restricted, K&N fitted, Upgraded Racing reeds and jets and Modded sprockets just for that extra kick... but anyways to the problem at hand.

When i purchased the bike i noticed a slight vibration in the front wheel when riding over 40mph, and it gradually gets worse the quicker you go. At first i thought the tyre may not have been blown onto the rim correctly so i took it off and put it back on correctly and still the same. Then i thought the disc may be warped so i got my mate to hold it up while i span it and ran my fingers along 2 see if i could feel any bumps... again no joy, however, as the wheel was spinning i noticed that at 1 point on the wheel it kind of bends to the left slightly.

Of course this is a buckled wheel, guess the previous owner had a bit of a prang with it and just 'forgot' to mention it to me. it isnt a major problem as the bike is still ridable and under the circumstances handles rather well. I just wondered if i should invest in a new 1 or there may be a way 2 just straighten it out... im not to keen on having it replaced cus i know they arnt cheap. Or maybe i could just leave it. what do ya reckon??

If it is buckled enough to cause a vibration, you would probably be better to replace or repair it.

A company called hagon will straighten cast wheels for a price, or check out some breakers.
