I wish he would just shut his trap!
Its really annoying how he slags off other riders.
I cant stand how he says there is no difference between WSB and MotoGP, and how he could have won MotoGP any day.

He was world champion and he's entitled to his own opinion.

I don't have a problem with him, I respect what he has achieved.

I like him. Why? When I went to Brands a while back and it was a million degrees, I needed a sunhat. Fortunately because nobody likes Foggy the FPR hats were half price - bargain. Laughing

i used to respect him cos he was a class rider-but in 2001, when he was commentating for the beeb, he started going on, "back in my day" and saying how quick he was to the current years racing. he didnt rate walker as a good rider then when he employed him saying he was great.
at the end of 2004 he started saying corser was only at fpr for the money and so on.
in bike magazine a couple of months ago, they got it spot on. a former world champion has to learn when to shutup.
he now says edwards has lost the will to win! where the heck did he get that from??? Evil or Very Mad he just an idiot now IMO

He's entitled to his opinion, he's achieved a lot and he has character. Fair play in my book, even if you don't agree with him.

If he wasn't a 5 times World Champion and just some Joe Bloggs down the pub, he'd be a big mouthed arrogant twit just trying to get attention and just saying things for the sake of it.

As it stands, he's a has been racer with some talent, but not enough to get him into GPs at the time (he once said he could put Doohan in his place given the chance Rolling Eyes ), now he's spouting bollards about a sport he's no longer a real part of - like he could have succeed so well in MotoGP with how rich the grid is these days Rolling Eyes It's good to see his history of the sport playing dividends with his Petronas efforts.

If he wasn't British, would we put up with such stupid remarks?

He blows his own trumpet far to often, but if he thought he was crap he never would have won anything. Regarding him slagging off other riders he's probably right. Chris walker hasn't won bugger all. He's a nice guy & he can be great to watch, but if you are going to be brutally honest he's just making up the numbers.
I always wondered if he could have made it in GPs. He did have a few rides and he considering the amount of time he had on the bike he didn't do to badly, especially when he wasn't allowed to change anything on the bike. If anyone is thinking they have heard that excuse before, you have. The "peoples champ" Walker used it when he rode the NSR.

I recently attempted to read his biography, dont mind outspoken people but he bangs on and on, every one else is crap and hes a god according to himself. Would have liked to see him race against Rossi in Moto GP, I think its safe to say there would have been fireworks, assuming Foggy could have got close enough to the doctor to actually race him. Cool

the guy likes to shout his mouth and then use his 4 world championships to back himself as proof to what he's saying. the guy is a has been and a pussy. he had one bad accident and he wimps out of motorcycling for good. A true champ has grace and compassion for what they do it seems foggy likes the liimelight of what motor racing brought/brings him and thats it.

James Toseland, steve hislop and chris walker are true champs in my opinion. they fell, they nearly lost everything, they did it or was willing to do it for nothing. They had passion and thats all they needed.

They are the TRUE experts and heroes of the sports

I used to like him until I read his book and then I went right off him. He was also a complete tosser when he was asked what he thought of Barry Sheene when Sheene died.
If he won it was down to his fantastic brilliant riding, if he lost it was someone elses fault.

Agree with all the above BUT that doesn't entitle him to slag off the current crop of riders who are riding at a completely different level on machinery light years ahead of what he rode, and please don't tell me the FPR bike is that good either.

He was a great rider but not an awesome one, that was a while ago. Now much of what he says is to keep his profile in the limelight in order to continue massaging his massively over inflated ego.

If he made valid points without contradicting himself or talking complete bo****ks he would be far more respected than he currently is, lets face it, most of the press now openly rip the pi** out of him at any opportunity, not the actions of respectful men.
