Best place to buy clothing & boots on a budget

With my DAS days looming and the weather being sh1te I need to sort out some boots and trousers. Trouble is I'm prettty skint so could do with trying to limit the cost to no more than about £100.

I've already got a Frank Thomas Aqua Jacket with armour off my Brother, am I best going textiles for the bottom half too or are leathers better ?

Any recommendations for budget (but safe) bike wear ?

A bike show is the best place. Slight seconds, shop soiled and end of line kit abounds for much cheapness. Bad time of year for bike shows.

Scottish bike show is in March.

Ebay rules, especially when the money just raised has paid for our holiday in a couple of weeks time

Sold my Frank Thomas Jacket and one piece leathers for more than previously purchased on ebay a couple of months ago

However, I have no leathers at all now Good excuse to buy some new ones

How important is colour coordination with the bike do ya think?

I used to have black and yellow for my old yellow Sprint RS. My current bike is red and I've got alsorts of colour combinations now. The only colour coded thing I bought for my bike is a red roof daytona lid.

Hein gericke do some suppriseingly cheap stuff.. depends how cheap you mean though...

A zip up two piece textile suit you should get for £200max, then go to somewhere like www.anchorsupplies.com and get theremal under trousers and the like from there, para boots make very good bikeing boots if you can't afford soemthing better

I like the idea of bright, colourful leathers not just BLACK, the thought of looking like a power ranger is always in the back of my mind.

Not sure whether to go for Kwak leathers to match the bike, as stuffed if get another bike thats NOT green!

I liked my one piece suit (although squashed knackers a couple of times when lifting arms up above head ), but are they awkward in the summer when stopped at pub and off the bike?

Got to say J+S got myself kitted out with Forma boots, Alpine stars gloves, Shark helmet and IXS two piece leathers for £400! look at what offers are on sometimes they do free kit worth a set amount with the leathers. Best time of year to buy is anytime between now and March.

You also have the bike show at Manchester ( G-Mex) on Jan 6,7,8th. As someone has already stated always worth a trip as dealers and clothing outlets are getting rid of last years/unwanted stock.
