30 year old Yamaha DT250

Just bought loads of memories flooding back of being a young lad back in Wales. Got my old DT250 out of the garage and had bloody great fun in the snow.
Funny aint it, you can have all the flash sports bikes, streetfighters etc over the years, got a lovely speed triple in the garage etc and the one bike that still makes you smile like a kid on xmas morning is a crappy old DT250.

Nowt crappy about a DT250. As twinshock trailies go, they are one of the better ones. Keep it safe because bits for them are like rocking horse poo nowadays. One of my neighbours has one and is having terrible problems getting plastics for it.

I would prefer an SP370 myself though.

You should go search for my "paying homage" thread, quite a few good posts in there. What i would give to ride another 50cc tomos again, its like going to see an old house kinda, except it moves....and its alot cooler

Hey, perhaps theres an opening for starting an old 2 stroke trailie club or summat. Somewhere we can pool resources etc. Just a thought but i know how hard it is to get bits for the DT for example.
Oh yeah Stinkwheel, i'd like an old SP to mate.
