BMW decided to turn right (not into a junction but an alley) when I went to overtake him. Went into the rear ish of him. Don't remember too much but spent 3 hours in a spine board thingy. I had pain in my back so the doctors feared the worst. An off duty fireman was at the scene and phoned the ambulance even though I was walking around cursing and chucking my helmet around. Three cop cars, one paramedic pilot who was in a normal BMW with lights fitted, I guess it's so he can get to his chopper quick, he was near by and just heard the call, and an ambulance turned up .
Best bit was when I got discharged out the hospital... Phone conversion "errr Dad, you never guess what... But anyway I need a lift."
Gayassbandit recovery people took my bike from the scene and now want a £105 to release my bike! I went to their depo with a friend and went mental at them. After lots of arguments they let me view the bike, decided it ain't worth £105.

I was shitting myself at first thinking it was going to go his way because I went into the back of him. But I stayed cool on the outside and didn't say anything like "Sorry my fault". Then the lady who was driving behind me said he moved out then indicated. So that boost me a little, then she said she would be happy to be my witness and give a statement . I rang my legal cover people who said I have a very good chance of winning. So now the rather large not in my stomach has gone. But in my eyes it's still 50/50 as I went into the back of him.
Will try and get some pictures of the NTV sometime. But what amazes me is the caliper has blown itself apart. Looks like the brake lever went into the car/road so hard the caliper couldn't take it .
OH fiddles, I just had the NTV road worthy aswell, I didn't even put 10 miles on it! Back to my trusty steed!
Glad to be alive, Klause. ____________________ Current bikes: 1960 Triumph 5ta x2, TTR600RE, KTM200EXC, Cagiva Elephant 900ie. |

These can probably be claimed for, but becareful if you're not too sure about the claim.
Otherwise, gutted, glad you're ok. |
Yeah I know £105 +£12 a day storage, fu*king robbery! My legal team are giving me the confirm tomorrow if they don't pay then I'll get it realised tomorrow out of my own cash and push it to a friend who lives near by.
Whats this like legal wise? No one asked my permission to take the vehicle away, yet I was fully awake and did breath tests whilst in a spine board! But they couldn't ask me if I could pick it up as I live 1mile away from the accident!

Yup, I'm ok can't kill me. Not just yet anyway! I'm going to be free for a while as I can't go to work with a busted knee . A girl is coming round tomorrow to sooth my pains . So maybe Saturday or Sunday? ____________________ Current bikes: 1960 Triumph 5ta x2, TTR600RE, KTM200EXC, Cagiva Elephant 900ie.

Firstly im sorry to hear of your accident m8ty,ref the recovery charge`s :- If you are not going thru your insurance company you will have to pay the charge`s but if you are claiming for the accident then let them deal with it mate.
Im in the recovery trade by the way ____________________ FJ1200 The ultimate tourer |

i believe they have the right to move any unroadworthy vehicle ona road. when i had my bad crash, the officer was nice enough to ask what i wanted doing as i lived a mile away. they left it there for me to pick up.
caused them hassle in the end though cos some some little prats tried to run off with it (the bikes front subframe was bent onto the bars so you couldnt turn right!) so the police went and arrested them!
that was my one good experience with the police. full marks to keynsham constabulary.
