Something went pop

Riding the bike home from work, coming up to some lots, I hear a loud 'pop' noise coming from the front end of the bike.... the headstock and handlebars wobbled, and that was it?

I pulled over, checked everything over, couldn't see a thing wrong! Rode it slowly home, everything seemed normal. So WTF was that noise?!?

A stone being picked up by the front tyre and battered against the inside of the mudguard?

I hope it was something like that, was bricking it that it was something mechanical! lol!

My bike did it to me for the first time when i got some sticky tyres put on. I pulled over thinking something was fucked.

It was only when it did it loads going over a newly surfaced road that i realised what it was
