21 Years

1 NCB

No alarms or security but garaged

£434

Could probably have got it cheaper but I went with the first quote I got from my original ins. company.

CIA Insurance.

Mines with choice quote.

Now what you must do is phone CIA (with 0 no claims) say "best quote is £550"

Then get a quote off them

And them phone choice quote and say CIA's quote which they will beat.

Thumbs Up

For what its worth I would opt for tpft over tpo. It's often only a few pounds more and its worth it for peace of mind. A 2000 zx6r would be quite a popular bike to steal, and chances are this is the most likely reason for you to require the insurance anyway.

Motorcycle Direct do competitive and quick online quotes. But with 0 no-claims I expect it won't be cheap as out of 16 insurance groups (17 if you include the mega-bling italian exotica) it is group 15, so not a great first time bike in the insurers eyes. Thumbs Down

Great choice of bike though Very Happy

I'm sorry, might seem a bit harsh - but have telephones stopped working as of late? Why not just spend half an hour trawling through the back pages of MCN to find the best quote for you?

I used to have a 2001 ZX-6R J2.

At the time: 25 + 0 NCB + Fully Comprehensive = £965.

cheapest ive had is £870 TPO, the same company wanted £1945 TPFT, so not just an extra few quid if you ask me.

@Craig23, i see what you mean by phoning up insurance companies and getting quotes (which I have) but this wont let you know if people on here have had cheaper/similiar quotes, will it?

I had to shop about today for bike insurance for me and new bike.

New rider just passed test
Honda cb600f hornet
Fully comp with all the legal stuff ect inc
£200 excess
£296.38 !

Pretty good I thought considering Bennetts who I am currently with wanted £100 more than that.
