I intend to ride like a perfect lady when I first get on, will take great care and time, its gonna be my pride and joy I promise, I tell you what I am a little worried about is the extra wieght and corners, will I have to give myself more time and room on them if you know what I mean, is it more likely to go over easier?

How did you know it had one of them! I have some serious learning to catch up on. Yes, the OH keeps teasing that he is gonna pinch it and put it on his bike but its not going no where I have told him.

White Noise, I take it by "bungs" you mean some sort of side protectors if I drop it yes?? OH did discuss this at dealers, could be a good idea for me, are they expensive do you know?

Five mins ragging the nuts off it, more like five months! No, I should be ok within a month I hope to just jump on and ride off confidently.....shouldnt I?

aye, crash bungs i swear by R&G after my rather quick get off,

https://www.rg-racing.com/frame-sliders-testimonials/120mph-crash-kawasaki.html

your bike is here £70, it is a fair amount but they do work, especialy at low speeds

https://www.rg-racing.com/sports-bike-protectors/honda-crash-protectors/cb600f-hornet.html

i am the R&G whore! Laughing

To start with I will have the box off as dont want to make it any more difficult to start than its gonna be, looks better without too I think but it will come in handy since its me that pops into the shop on the way home and will take it off my rucksack a bit.

White noise, ah yes, I know what you mean now, are these things easy to fit, can I get the OH to fit them or is it best done by garage?

as there is no fairing to drill, very easy

R&G website wrote:
Nearside and Offside
Remove engine bolt (suggest place trolley jack under engine)
Install M10 socket headed cap screw through protector and insert
through engine aperture
Place washer on back of bolt and tighten M10 lock nut to manufacturers
recommended torque settings (not available from R&G)

Tell tale signs on the swingarm. The cable ties. Very Happy Thumbs Up

Only problems I had with the hornet, apart from the tank range was the front suspension and the brakes. As standard, on my bike (which was left standing a while) they were very soggy. Braided lines and thicker oil changed that quite a bit.

Most fun bike I've owned though, I have to say. So far...
