It's not faded at all, its just it's normal colour. Don't fall down the trap of spending loads of time and money on it. They make a great choice of a first big bike but at the end of the day it's just an ER-5. In a couple of months you will be bored of it and will want to move onto something bigger. This is perfectly normal. In the mean time though don't think the ER-5 can't teach you anything. Dodsi use to scrape the pegs down on his Wink

It is faded though, theres certain places on the seat which has white faded marks, then on the other part of the seat, its ok Confused

And i'm gonna keep this until i'm 20-21, when i dont have the scatty 33 BHP law on me. and it doesnt take a couple of months 2 get bored of the power, only a couple of weeks lol. Cool They are great bikes though

Yes but that's because your are an Instigaytor... Laughing

Only bought R&G's for it. Everything else was included Wink

White marks could be polish stains. Use fairy liquid to remove them if they are. If it is stains then your best option will be to get some clothes dye and try that. Shoe polish will rub onto your cloths.

Well i am gonna keep it unless i completely smash it up, because i cant get anything more powerful because of the 33 BHP law. And i bought it in mint condition so that it would last and not fall apart:)

True! Especially as the ER-5 is very easy to derestrict. Between the carbs and engine are two rubber hoses. Inside the hoses are two metal washers. Remove the tank and air box to gain access to the hoses and remove the washers - de-restricted! No need to touch the carbs/ignition box - simple Thumbs Up

We did Tom's (Dodsi's) bike in about 1/2 hour. (naturally in putting it all back together again we couldn't find the washers so we assumed that we must have put them back in Wink )

Very nice. I'm going to start keeping an eye open for one of these, it's looking more and more likely to be the first bike!

Sarky bastid Laughing

Nice bike to learn the 'big bike' ropes on Thumbs Up

Needs a full Remus system on it Cool I still miss my ER-5 for that reason (and the ONLY reason I miss it for Laughing).

IL4 just doesn't have the same noise. Still, the 'Z Z ah' sounds schweet with the full Micron race system on it Cool
