The begining...
https://img410.imageshack.us/img410/7828/dscf00204dk.jpg

Abit of a service, airbox wasn't even attached, greased up spindles and sorted out wiring...
https://img410.imageshack.us/img410/2555/dscf00247rs.jpg

BMW gets in the way...
https://img410.imageshack.us/img410/48/dscf00350bj.jpg

Damage doesn't look bad from here but lots of small things which is annoying.

Heres a list...
Forks are bent, mudguard, caliper self destroyed, dented tank, foot peg missing, rear brake pedal, brake lever, handle bar mount twisted, clock casing destroyed, mirror, headlight works but twisted to one side + dented, rad leaks, downpipes pushed intowards engine and my lovely polished can scratched.

Just got the front end off today, should be putting a vf400 front end on soon Thumbs Up ...

Easy, just drive it around on the back wheel. You'll be buggered when you want to stop though. Laughing

You didn't give any details of the crash, just that a BMW got in the way. I'm assuming that it was the cars fault so surely you must have received an insurance payout?? If so, then WTF are you doing spending it all on rebuilding what is now a knackered wreck? Even if you do build it back to it's former dated rusty glory it won't be worth anything as it will be on the insurance register as (judging by that amount of damage) a Cat C.

You won't be able to sell it and you will just be using up funds that could have been used for buying a better new bike. Every £ you spend now lowers the quality/age of that bigger Ducati Monster you want!!

Trust me, I made the same mistake you did and wasted £600 in doing so! Let the old bike go, ring up a scrap company in the yellow pages and get them to come round and take it away. You will feel a lot better and any 'attachment' you may have felt for it will just disappear. Buy a copy of 'What Bike' and 'Autotrader' and get browsing for a new decent bike for summer.

WOowww, easy tiger. The NTV was added to my ducati monster policy on third party only, it will be ages till I see some insurance money. Unless your fully comp your looking at a good few months for a payout.

The only major thing that is wrong with it is bent forks. Which is hardly major if you know how to fix it.

I bought the bike for £140 (hardly gonna loose money if i go to sell it) and bought brake pads, thats it. Everything else I have fixed and bodged myself. I am doing a motorcycle mechanics course so most of this stuff is piss to do. I will be taking the forks into the workshop and putting them under the *ton presser, job done. About the only thing I need to spend money on is a brake caliper.

I did give details on the crash but that was in general chat, this is just pictures of it at stages.

So neh Razz
