A couple of stages of the dakar, the first half is bikes but the rest is cool too..

I'm guessing you'd have to be doing very well for yourself to enter!

On the 6th stage the bikes (restricted to 100mph) get up at 1/2am with little or no sleep to go 792 kilometers... thats 492 miles accross sand and rocks that you tend to find in the desert, and shortcuting isn't an option either because off the narrow path theres numerous mines... Its no wonder many dont finish and some even get killed...

Why the dose this get almost no coverage in the uk? yet sometimes theres 2 chanels of fecking snooker Rolling Eyes

Carlos Sainz re-starts
The Volkswagen driver, stopped since this morning at km 26 after having hit a stone, was helped out by his assistance truck. The repairs have been made; the Spaniard will try to reach Nouakchott within the allotted time.

I'd attempt it as long as i had an AK47 for those horrid little desert bandits, and an AA european cover card Very Happy

Not to mention a rather nicely set up enduro...

They do this with cars don't they or this something different?

Their's a thing on men and motors where they do it with cars bought with a maximum budget of 150 quid and 15 quid spent on them. Well that's what their supposed to do but i'm not sure how many people have stuck with the rules. They had smelly desert afghan clarts lobbing rocks at all the cars the one episode I watched. Get stoned to death if any of the old bangers broke down at that moment. Be dangerous on a bike:
