New tyres fitted on the bike on saturday
even had them supplied and fitted by the dealer ( yes i know im mad)
after just 20 miles on them today i park up and a pissing nail head
is in the back tyre
what do i do , leave it in or pull it out

take it back to the dealer and see if they can put a screw (repair) in it

Sounds very much like a car scenario I had , cept it was a car , I drove it to the tyre fixing place about a mile away then pulled out the screw , it deflated very quickly , but was no real bother since I could drive it right in.

Though car tyres are cheap and simple to fix (cost me £6 to repair the puncture.

If you pull it out, your tyre will go flat immediately. I would ride it carefully to the tyre fitters with the nail still in and see if they can put a plug in for you. I rode my bike over 200 miles (Isle of Lewis to Huntly in Aberdeenshire) with a nail in the tyre.

isn't there a sort of warranty with some tyres? if you get a puncture with so much tread left they will replace the tyre!!!! Very Happy

Get the tyre repaired. A lot of places won't repair them and would rather sell you a new tyre (funny, that???) if your tyre place won't repair it simply find one that does. Should be fine for the life of the tyre, and I personally don't worry about high speeds with a plug in. It should be repairable as long as the nail is in the centre half of the tyre - if it's close to the sidewall it can't be fixed and you're looking at a new one I'm afraid!!!

just dont pull it out ..... and take it to a tyre place they may be able to fix it up

If they claim they can't fix it, make them put a tube in. If they say 'oh you can't do that' ask them how they put tubeless road tyres on supermotos with spoked wheels.

Plugs are fine when done properly.

My mate has three in the back tire of his daytona and he still rides down the A2 at 150mph Shocked

You are not alone! Just noticed this about 5 minutes ago! Was polishing up the front of the downpipe and caught a glimpse of something metaillic....
