Hi,

Regarding the pivot on my 2001 CG125 kickstart (The pivot that you use to fold the lever out) there seems to be a small amount of oil coming from the top and bottom of the pivot, is this normal?

Thanks

From the pivot itself? Well it would indicate that someone has actually oiled it at some point which is frankly amazing. It is just a metal pin that goes in a hole, metal bearing on metal so it should be oiled. Most people don't bother then whinge when it wears out and they have to buy a new one.

I'm using a teflon based spray lubricant in pivots such as that not, and the connections on the front brake (where the cable pulls the piece of metal) and my centrestand, throttle, etc...

Is that a good idea or should I get a more substantial grease for those jobs?
